Boussay
South of the more than 2000 year old city of Tours and above the university town of Poitiers, the picturesque village of Boussay is well hidden among the hills.
It’s one of those rare places where time seems to have stood still. Thanks to the efforts of the former mayor, who is also the Count of the castle of Boussay, the authentic character of this village with its unique roofs with old clay plain tiles could be preserved.
The soothing silence sounds like music in many peoples’ ears.
Several couples of little swallows ensure entertainment.
Rape, sunflower, wheat and poppy fields, woods and forests provide a good bond with nature and in the spring and summertime they’re a delight to the eye. If you're lucky you might come across some hinds at dawn... And then comes that glorious autumn, turning all green into warm red, orange and ochre and preparing for winter time at last, the perfect moment to fully enjoy a good gastronomy.
There is no place for stress here, in Boussay you can find such a peace that you will soon feel at home in “la douce France”.
